The installation of a Blue Gold watermaker is simple and does not require any special tools.

You can install your watermaker by following one of the flowcharts below. We highly recommend to use a boost pump in order to correctly feed the HP pump and eliminate air bubbles in the circuit.

Anyways an installation without boost pump is possible, only please take care to keep all the components (from the seawater intake to the HP pump) at least 50 cm below the waterline, and take also care that no air bubbles remain in this part of the plant during the operations. We warmly suggest to avoid this kind of installation

The flushing of the plant is operated from the pressure pump of the boat. When the operator closes the seawater ball valve and opens the flushing ball valve, the pressure pump of the boat starts and provides to flush the whole watermaker.

Flow Chart for the installation of a Blue Gold “Zero+” and “Eco+” watermaker, equipped with magnetic driven feed pump (not self priming)

This flow chart shows also some optional devices not included in the standard supply

The flushing of the plant is automatically operated from the pressure pump of the boat. When the operator stops the watermaker, the solenoid valve of the “Easy Flushing System” opens for a preset time, the pressure pump of the boat starts and provides to flush the whole watermaker. The feed pump is not self priming ad has to be installed at least 30 cm. below the waterline. It must be properly flooded and can stand the saltwater remains inside.

In case a standard Inox Jet Pump (self priming) is installed, we suggest at least once a year, in example before the winter stop, to flush it with freshwater.

Some variations are possible to these schemes. Please write our technical department for a consulting.
