AquaBoost 30 l/h Entry-Level Energy-Recovery Marine Watermaker
The AquaBoost 30 is BlueGold’s compact entry-level energy-recovery watermaker for sailors who want a simple, efficient and reliable desalination system without unnecessary complexity.
It is designed around one very clear idea: use the right original components, keep the system simple, assemble it properly, test it before delivery, and make it easy to operate on board.
With a production capacity of up to 30 litres per hour and a current draw of approximately 9 Amps at 12 volts, this system is especially suitable for sailing yachts, small motorboats and off-grid vessels powered by solar panels, wind generators or limited battery capacity.
Original Clark Pump. Original Aquatec Pump. No Guesswork.
At the heart of this system is the original Electromaax Clark pump made in Canada. The feed side is powered by the original Aquatec pump made in the USA, a proven diaphragm pump widely used in compact low-energy watermaker systems.
This is not an experimental copy, not an improvised clone and not a collection of unknown parts. The system is based on original, proven components with a clean and practical layout.
- Original Electromaax Clark pump: made in Canada and designed for efficient energy-recovery desalination.
- Original Aquatec feed pump: made in the USA, quiet, compact and efficient.
- Standard 2521 membrane: easy to source and practical for long-term service.
- Simple automatic operation: controlled with one switch.
- Automatic pressure cycling: no manual high-pressure adjustment during normal operation.
- Compact assembly: designed for easy installation in small technical spaces.
- Tested before delivery: assembled, checked and ready for installation.
Simple by Design
The AquaBoost 30 is intentionally simple. It does not try to be a large, fully featured watermaker squeezed into a small box. Instead, it focuses on the essentials required for reliable daily freshwater production on board.
The standard configuration includes:
- Original Electromaax Clark pump.
- Pressure vessel and membrane.
- Prefilter and carbon filter.
- Original Aquatec feed pump.
- Freshwater tank connection.
- One simple operating switch.
- Pressure gauge and TDS meter.
- 3-way valve for flushing.
No oversized cabinet, no complicated control electronics, no unnecessary automation and no expensive extras that are not required for a small, efficient watermaker.
Fully Automatic Operation with One Switch
Operation is deliberately straightforward. The system is started and stopped with a simple switch. During normal operation, the pressure cycle is managed automatically by the Clark pump principle, making the system easy to use even for owners who do not want a complex technical installation.
This makes the AquaBoost 30 particularly attractive for owners who want a practical watermaker that can be used regularly without turning freshwater production into a daily technical ritual.
Built for Alternative Energy Boats
With low power consumption and energy-recovery operation, the AquaBoost 30 is well suited to boats that depend on solar panels, wind generators and battery storage.
Instead of requiring a generator or large inverter system, it can produce useful daily freshwater volumes from a modest 12 V electrical supply. This makes it a good match for cruising sailors, smaller yachts and boats where simplicity and energy efficiency matter more than maximum production rate.
⚠️ Beware of Eastern European Imitations
Clark-pump watermakers may look simple from the outside, but reliability depends on details that are not always visible in a product photo. Materials, seals, machining quality, membrane compatibility, pressure behaviour, assembly and testing all matter.
Low-cost imitation systems may copy the appearance of a proven design, but they do not necessarily use the same components, materials or quality standards. In a marine watermaker, the wrong seal material, poor assembly or untested hydraulic parts can quickly become a serious reliability problem.
Choose original components, marine-suitable materials and a supplier who understands how the system is assembled, tested, flushed, preserved and serviced. A watermaker is not just a pump and a membrane. It is a complete hydraulic system that must work reliably in a real marine environment.
Why We Built This Entry-Level Version
Not every boat needs a large watermaker with a touchscreen controller, remote monitoring, automatic flushing and multiple operating modes. Many owners simply need a compact, efficient and dependable system that produces enough freshwater for daily use.
The AquaBoost 30 was created for exactly this purpose: an entry-level BlueGold watermaker below the cost of our larger and more advanced systems, while still using original key components and a proper marine specification.
Typical Applications
- Small and medium sailing yachts.
- Off-grid cruising boats.
- Solar-powered vessels.
- Boats with limited battery capacity.
- Owners looking for a simple first watermaker.
- DIY-friendly installations where compact size and serviceability matter.
Important Notes
The AquaBoost 30 is a compact entry-level watermaker. It is designed to be simple, efficient and cost-effective, not to replace a large fully automated system for high daily water demand.
Additional options, special layouts, remote controls, advanced automation, custom frames, installation kits and system upgrades are available on request.
Before Ordering
Before ordering, please check the available installation space, seawater intake layout, electrical supply, flushing arrangement and expected daily freshwater demand.
If you are unsure whether this system is the right size for your boat, send us a few photos and basic details of your installation. We can help you decide whether the AquaBoost 30 is the correct entry-level solution or whether a larger BlueGold system would be more suitable.
