Membrane cleaning chemicals – Acid and alkaline RO membrane cleaner
Kit of alkaline and acid membrane cleaner to be used when a drop in performance occurs.
When the water output drops 10% it’s time to clean the watermaker membranes.
The alkaline RO membrane cleaner removes the biological growth organic fouling and the acid membrane RO cleaner removes Calcium Carbonate and other scaling from the reverse osmosis membranes.
NEVER MIX THE TWO PRODUCTS (reverse osmosis chemicals / membrane chemicals): It is recommended to start with the alkaline cleaning then follow with the acid cleaning after the RO system has been flushed.

Regular membrane cleaning minimizes the loss of performance and extends RO watermaker membrane life. Reverse osmosis membrane cleaner should be used whenever the normalized permeate water output rate drops by 10% from its initial flow rate (the flow rate established during the first 24 to 48 hours of operation), or when salt passage in the product water increases over 5-10%.
Ideal as a RO cleaner for:
