Osculati 0.75 L Accumulator Tank for Clark Pump Watermakers
This compact Osculati accumulator tank is used by BlueGold in low-pressure feed circuits for Clark pump watermakers and small marine reverse osmosis systems.
In a compact energy-recovery watermaker, the feed pump does not simply move water from one place to another. It must supply the prefilters and the Clark pump with a stable, predictable flow of seawater. Pulsations, rapid pressure changes and frequent pump cycling can make the system noisier and less smooth in operation.
An accumulator tank helps by providing a small pressurised volume in the low-pressure circuit. This can reduce pulsations, smooth the feed-water flow and make the whole system behave more steadily during operation.
Why We Use an Accumulator Tank with Clark Pump Systems
Clark pump watermakers are efficient because they recover energy from the brine side of the system, but they also work with a characteristic pressure cycle. On the feed side, a small accumulator tank can help stabilise the low-pressure circuit and reduce unnecessary stress on the feed pump.

The exact position can vary depending on the system layout, available space and hose routing. The accumulator should be installed where it can work effectively without creating unnecessary restrictions or high points where air can collect.

This accumulator tank is a useful component for DIY builders working on compact energy-recovery watermakers, especially systems based on a Clark pump and a small automatic feed pump.
