The Sea Horse series watermaker model is a semi-modular marine water maker for boats. The control panel is integrated in the body of the machine. Only the high pressure pump and the filters are placed externally, so you don’t have to handle a big and heavy desalination unit. Connecting the hoses and the electric wires is simpler and quicker. No special skills or wrenches are required to perform this job.
The Sea Horse watermaker desalinator can be installed in the engine room, on bulkheads (walls) or overhead (deck head). It can also be installed in a locker (even without ventilation) and there is no need to drill furniture to attach a panel. The pump and filters can be installed in another location. Electronics is limited to a color display that elegantly shows the operating pressure and triggers in case of excessive pressure by automatically stopping the machine. A small digital display also shows the productivity in liters/hour and the total production (re-settable) of the freshwater.
This strong desalination system for boats is built to last and comes with 2x 2540, 3x 2540, 4x 2540 high rejection and high productivity seawater RO membranes. A new vessel rack made in composite, strong and very lightweight, is supplied as standard.
The Sea Horse boat water maker can be equipped with a Stainless Steel AISI 316 head High Pressure water pump, or with the MIXTRON high pressure pump in Technopolymer, both specifically designed for the seawater reverse osmosis applications. These HP pumps are quiet and reliable.
The Sea Horse watermaker can be operated from an integrated remote panel (no need to drill furniture) with a colour display for the operating pressure, a digital flow meter, an hour counter, a TDS meter, the pressure regulating valve, the switches for the pumps, the “Easy Flushing System” and the solenoid valves which drive the permeate to the tank or to a test outlet.
The Sea Horse marine watermaker is equipped as standard with our “Easy Flushing System”, which allows the flushing of the boat desalination plant with a simple switch positioned on the control panel. A heavy duty feed pump is included as standard equipment, and it allows the fresh water maker to be positioned above the seawater level as well.
The delivery includes all the components and fittings needed for the installation, except for the standard hoses and the extensions of the electric cables, which need to be provided aboard.
No special skills or wrenches are required to perform Sea Horse watermaker installation related tasks.
